Controller and scope
LAOS Technologies is responsible for LAOS Office Tools. This policy covers the Android app, the web app, and document processing available at officetools.laostechnologies.com.
Documents and photos
Local tools work on the device and do not upload the file. A remote feature receives a document or photo only after visible confirmation for that file. The remote copy is encrypted in transit, used solely to produce the requested result, and deleted on completion, on deletion request, or after no more than 30 minutes. Files are not used for advertising, model training, or user profiling and are not shared with third-party AI providers.
LAOS Account
An account is optional for local tools. When you sign in, LAOS Account handles the identifiers required to authenticate, protect, and end the session. Office Tools does not receive or store your password and uses Authorization Code with PKCE in the external browser.
Optional analytics
App analytics is disabled until you consent and can be revoked. It may send only app version, registered screen or action identifiers, technical outcome, latency, and a random installation identifier. It never includes documents, photos, free text, file names, amounts, locations, credentials, or domain data. Accepted events have a declared maximum retention of 365 days. The public Office Tools website does not load marketing analytics.
Your controls
You can use local mode without an account, deny camera access, decline remote processing, revoke analytics, delete local files from the app, and request deletion of a remote session. To request access, correction, export, or deletion, contact hello@laostechnologies.com.
Security and changes
Remote files are isolated by session, validated before processing, and API responses are not cached. If this policy changes materially, its date and text will be updated before the new processing is enabled.
